OFWO has committed to the provision of a disability leave entitlement within the miscellaneous leave policy. This was won by the CPSU to allow workers to be absent from duty for reasons related to their disability.

The primary goal of disability leave is to provide additional leave as an equity measure for workers with disability or those who care for a family member with disability. Disability leave can help prevent workers from exhausting their leave to manage their disability or their disability related caring responsibilities.

The Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman has committed in policy to the provision of this entitlement in a manner which is supportive and flexible for those who need it. CPSU is in your corner to help you access this important condition.
