Cultural and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Network

Australia is becoming more culturally diverse, with estimates that more than two in five Australians are from culturally diverse backgrounds.

The CPSU is committed to diversity and inclusion in all its forms, including cultural and linguistic diversity in our membership, delegate and representative structures. This includes the union’s commitments to measuring and reporting Cultural and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) representation and improving diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

The CPSU CALD Network brings together members of CALD backgrounds to discuss and campaign on issues that shape progressive reforms promoting culturally safe and vibrant workplaces. We welcome members of all cultural, racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds and allies who support our efforts.

We want to create avenues for members of CALD backgrounds to play a more active representative role in shaping our advocacy on these issues and improving CALD representation in our union.

If you’re a member from a CALD background or an ally, join the CALD Network here (sign-in required).
